Like many high-profile figures, the renowned pop icon Cher took to social media to offer their prayers for the victims of a terrorist attack at Istanbul's Atatürk International Airport.
Her fans quickly took Twitter to criticize the singer saying she was highly "insensitive" and the message was "hideously inappropriate."
Cher said she didn't think about using the bomb and explosion emojis while sending prayers to victims of the terrorist attack at Istanbul's Ataturk Internatıonal Airport that left 42 dead.
In a follow up tweet the singer offered a "heartfelt apology" saying she "didn't think" before posting her first message, adding, "Everyone who knows me knows I'm tender to people who are hurting."
