Red Devils' Dutch forward Robin van Persie arrives in Istanbul to sign with Fenerbahce
The 31-year-old Dutch player, speaking to club's TV channel FBTV, expressed his gladness to be in Istanbul. "I will play in front of fantastic fans. Everything goes well now," he said.
"I can not wait to meet the fans. I hope to make them always happy in training and matches. For me it's an honour to be here," the Dutch forward added.
Van Persie is expected to sign the deal with Fenerbahce in a ceremony in Istanbul club's home ground, Fenerbahce Sukru Saracoglu Stadium, on Monday.
Former Feyenoord and Arsenal player, Robin van Persie, scored 58 goals in 105 appearances with Manchester United since August of 2012. Dutch international won English Premier League title in 2013.
