Football: Turkish League Resumes After Break

Week 4 of Spor Toto Super Lig kicks off Saturday with reigning champions Besiktas taking on Karabukspor

The fourth week of the Turkish domestic football league will kick off Saturday, after the international break when countries faced off in World Cup qualification matches.

The Spor Toto Super Lig will resume with reigning champions Besiktas taking on Karabukspor in an away match. Besiktas gained 7 points in three matches and are currently in second place.

The Black Eagles are once again among the favorites to win the Turkish Super Lig this year, the club having strengthened the squad with new signings such as Pepe from Real Madrid and Alvaro Negredo from Valencia.

They also signed Dutch winger Jeremain Lens and Chilean defensive midfielder Gary Medel.

Also on Saturday, Fenerbahce will take on Basaksehir at home in Sukru Saracoglu Stadium. The Yellow Canaries are currently sixth with five points.

Current league leaders Galatasaray, which started the season winning their first three matches, will take on Antalyaspor Sunday evening.

Galatasaray managed to score 10 goals in three matches and only conceded two.
